Are you someone who enjoys challenges and loves developing solutions, then this is for you. This year we are calling all young engineers, architects and students (under 35) to enter a design solution for a landmark artwork, designed by no other than Alex Chinneck, an extraordinary British sculptor and Council Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors’ (rbs.org.uk). Check out his work on alexchinneck.com for some inspiration.

Further information like sections and drawings to support the design will be made available once the team has been registered. The teams should consist of no more than 3 people under the age of 35.

No entries after 5pm on 11^th July 2016 will be allowed to take part in the competition.

For both competitions, the top 3 entries will be shortlisted to share their amazing work in front of the great variety of audience and industry leaders at the conference. Design posters for the shortlisted teams will be displayed for appreciation all day at the conference.

And there will be prizes for the winners. These will include both a cash prize and free IABSE memberships for the winners of both competitions.
