The British Group of IABSE is pleased to announce that this year’s winner of the coveted Milne Medal is John Parker, Director of Building Structures at WSP in the UK.
The Milne Medal is awarded to an individual engineer for excellence in structural design, both in the overall concept and in the attention to detail in their work. The award is named in recognition of the late Bob Milne who served for many years as the Honorary Secretary of the IABSE British Group.
John is the 14th winner of the Milne Medal. Previous winners include leading designers in the structural engineering profession and can be found here.
John will receive his award and deliver the 2018 Milne Medal Lecture – Unexpected Education, at 18.00 on 13th November at the Institution of Structural Engineers, 47-58 Bastwick Street, London EC1V 3PS.
A dinner will be held after the talk at 19:45 at the Modern Pantry, Clerkenwell. Tickets are limited. The cost is £70 for age 35 and over or £35 for under 35’s – for 3 courses including wine.
