We would like to welcome you to this year’s Future of Design Manchester 2022 conference held at the University of Manchester’s Alan Turing Building on Monday 12th September. The conference aims to promote forward-thinking design and inspire the next generation of designers in the field of engineering and architecture.
We are delighted that this year’s event can be held in person after 2 years of online conferences! We are happy to bring to you a full day catered event with a variety of keynote speakers from around the field covering a wide range of topics. Speakers include Steve McKechnie (Arup), Brian Duguid (Mott MacDonald), Dr Adrienn Tomor (Brunel University) and more to be announced. There will be networking and Q&A opportunities throughout the day.
We will also be holding Young Engineer’s Design and Paper competitions of which the finalists will be able to present their work during the event. Details of these competitions can be found below. We invite and encourage all young designers to participate in the competition. Prizes will be awarded to this year’s winners and previous winners who missed out because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We would love it if you could join us after the event for an evening meal at Double Tree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly for further networking and socialising starting at 6pm.
